Henry Clay Ragland

Henry Clay Ragland - was the creator and publisher of the Logan Banner, and writer of “A History of Logan County”, which was originally printed in the Logan County Banner in 1895. Source: Logan Banner, 01 Nov 1924. He was a contemporary of many of my ancestors, remarking in his "History"

Sigfus Olafson

Sigfus Olafson - was a major author of the updated content to Ragland's book A History of Logan County, History of Logan County Centennial: The Early Years and was a founding member of the Mingo County (WV) Genealogical Society.

Dana Dorsey

Dana Dorsey - Dr. Dana Dorsey was a long time member of the Logan County (WV) Genealogical Societies, and wrote many articles created many of the maps for "History of Logan Centennial The Early Years" by Sam Rogers.

Fred C. Thomson Jr.

Fred C. Thomson Jr. - was a Ferrell researcher who was in the Logan County Society in the 1980's, and created the research tree Descendants of Richard and Rebecca Romains that Connie Chancellor (a Ferrell research friend in Georgia) shared with me.
