A Ferrell researcher who was in the Logan County Society in the 1980's, and created the research tree Descendants of Richard and Rebecca Romains that Connie Chancellor (a Ferrell research friend in Georgia) shared with me. The 1989 Fall edition noted (in a newspaper clipping) that he'd attended the annual picnic at Chief logan Park.
Interesting, the Family Search Wiki for Logan County WV shows a book by Fred that I can't seem to find anywhere (it is not even listed in WorldCat). I cannot even finding in the LDS holdings searching the books section of [1].
